St Peter's Church And Dovecot, Old Woking, On Behalf Of Woking Borough Council

The historic church of St Peter’s, Old Woking has been here for some 900 years and is still going strong! King Charles I worshipped at the church in 1627 when he listened to a sermon on the need to be born again through the living word of God. The boundary wall and listed dovecot were in dire need of repair. The wall was deconstructed and as many existing bricks as possible were salvaged and blended back into the wall. The copings were also made as per the existing and in two different thicknesses to emulate the style of the existing wall and dovecote. Red’s Builders carried out the work and have received only positive comments from the local society, architect and client alike.
